Don't take guilt trips.
I believe that to be true as far
as everyday living is concerned,
but remember that guilt's true
purpose is to lead us to the
Saviour.
Apart from the conviction of
God's moral law, no sinner is
held innocent before God on the
Day of Judgment.
The law proclaims me guilty.
Now what do I do?
So once I saw how much I fell
short in the scheme of things
(the 10 Commandments) I
repented and turned to trust
Jesus to wash away my
sin...Now I don't have to live a
guilty life because I am washed
in the blood of the lamb.
Daily conviction is the Holy
Spirit's way of speaking to me
through the Word, others
encouragement and even
rebuke, preaching, prayer
and applying the Word to
renew my mind and living to
bring glory to God.
Life is in the blood and only the blood of Jesus Christ can offer eternal life to those who repent AND by faith, believe that Christ's shed blood was spilled for them and choose to accept his gift.
Repent of unbelief...you can't remember every sin...but God will transform your mind & heart as you trust Him to take away the burdens you carry...your own personal sin as well as the sin you feel from others. You need His love today.
God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
II Peter 3:9
Accept His gift today. The promise still stands but you need to say Yes, Lord...I believe.
Then fill your life with reading, studying and listening to the Bible. It is Jesus Christ.
...that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God's mystery which is Christ, In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."
Colossians 2:2-3
Lives turned around to serve God by the power of the Holy Spirit through the living Word will bring the freedom, peace, & contentment even in a whirlwind world, that we so desperately want and need.
