Why have your flowers collecting dust when they can become a work of art! I create unique pieces of art with pressed flowers of
all kinds, herbs, leaves, paper thin bark and
individual petals arranged to be pleasing to the eye,
thought provoking with a touch of whimsy.
Wedding bouquetsandProm Flowers can be transformed
into more than just a likeness but something totally
new and will be cherished for years to come. Many
different pictures can be designed from one bouquet
and given as gifts.
I also work on pieces I call Memory Gardens for folks
who can not get out into their gardens due to illness
or just because. It gives the gardener a remembrance
of the beauty that continues to grow and blossom
while they struggle to get healthy or when they want
to preserve their hard earned beauty. I know it
brings smiles to their hearts and faces.
Sometimes I remove them to bring to a show. The ones
represented below are just a few of my pieces. All
pictures are beautifully paper backed with corner
cushions, wired and ready to hang. To retain colors
keep out of direct sunlight. They will age over time
and continue to be aesthetically pleasing.
I have shipped artwork successfully.

The care of your flowers before I receive them helps me
preserve the beauty of the colors and the form of the petals or
leaves.
Bouquets:
Keep the flowers dry and cool (refrigerate but NEVER
freeze flowers). Remove any beads, ribbon, etc. that you wish to
keep but I can incorporate some ribbon, and beads depending on
their size. Place the flowers in a large plastic bag, blow into it
to create a bubble of air and twist tie or rubber band the
bag closed. Be sure to place tissue among the flowers for
moisture absorption. Try to keep tissues around any flowers that
may touch the plastic bag, as this can sometimes darken petals.
Include any extra flowers from your special occasion if you would
like me to use them in your design. If your sending it by mail,
take extra care to keep it from getting too squished.
Memory Gardens:
Collect plant material when in full bloom and dry. Place between
dry paper towels without touching and set under a heavy flat
object and get them to me as soon as possible without the flat
object! If you prefer, a friend or relative may bring your flowers
to me. Please phone in advance. If mailing, check to see if the
tissue surrounding the flowers is damp for both bouquets and MG;
if so, replace it before putting the plastic bag in a box to send and
secure with paper or cardboard to keep the material from
squishing. Also, if you mail your flowers to me, overnight express
is best. Please allow two to three months for completion unless I
contact you earlier . The finished design is carefully packaged and
mailed to you. Or if you prefer, you may pick up your design
from me by appointment.
